UW/Dirac Project - Integrated Passive Tag with Sensor and Fiber Loop Capability

The objective of this project is to improve the read-range performance and level of integration of a passive tag concept with integrated fiber-loop anti-tamper and sensor/detector capability for applications in sealed container authentication and tamper detection. The project builds on an existing UW research program with Dirac’s partner, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, in which a base passive tag capability has been developed using a software-intensive, relatively power-intensive microcontroller to perform PHY and MAC layer protocol operations.
